Morganstone delivers Mock Interviews for Ospreys in the Community

Community Engagement Manager Nia Collard recently visited the Morganstone Brewery Field in Bridgend to support Ospreys in the Community by delivering Mock Interviews to members of its TACKLE Employability programme along with Bridgend College’s Cyfleoedd representatives.

Ospreys in the Community is the not-for-profit charitable arm of the Ospreys Rugby Club, focusing upon making positive changes within the communities situated within the Osprelia region. The charity focuses upon four key areas: inclusion, sport, health and education. The TACKLE employability programme falls within the educational category, and supports individuals aged 18-24 not currently in employment, training or education by upskilling them and providing them with workshops and transferable skills which they can use to attain employment.

Unemployment in Wales sits at 4.3% (BBC News, 2019), therefore programmes of this nature are key in supporting the unemployed towards finding future employment. The mock interviews formed part of many events that Morganstone has been involved with in support of the TACKLE project, which in the past has included STEM workshops, site visits, office tours and Q&A’s with Construction Employees around routes into the industry.

Nia Collard, Community Engagement Manager added, “Ospreys in the Community are a fantastic charity. The TACKLE programme has contributed towards many positive changes for the individuals involved including offers of employment and work experience, the securing of educational placements and most importantly a confidence boost and new skill set for the individuals enrolled on the programme alongside providing them with information around routes into the construction industry. It’s always a pleasure to work with Dorian and his team”.
