Children Singing

Christmas Integenerational event brings festive cheer

Residents at Brynhyfryd House, Westcross were recently treated to a morning of Christmas cheer, courtesy of St David’s Catholic Primary School choir. The children performed some classics such as “Silent Night” and “Santa Clause is coming to town” but also added a modern mash up of some original favourites!

The visit formed part of a series of intergenerational initiatives delivered by Morganstone and Westacres, encouraging links between the youth and elderly. Community Engagement Manager, Nia Collard added, “It’s always lovely to see the how much the residents and children enjoy intergenerational events. Listening to the children singing, and seeing the residents smile always brings home that Christmas really is all about spreading festive cheer.”

Westacres have engaged closely with St David’s Catholic Primary School over the past year, to deliver a number of initiatives in line with the nearby Summerland Lane development.

The Summerland Lane development is situated in the heart of Caswell, South Gower, and just a stones throw from St David’s Catholic Primary. The development will consist of 61 contemporary and executive homes, for Clients Westacres and POBL Living.
