We are delighted to be celebrating another award win, in what has been a successful year already for the company.
Morganstone has been named the Business Of the Year at the Swansea Bay Business Awards, in the 26 -149 Employees category.
This recognition comes hot-on-the-heels of our success at the West Wales Business Awards in January, where we were named Business Of The Year 2017 as well as winning the Construction category at that event.
The Swansea Bay Business Awards ceremony, which went ahead at the city’s Brangwyn Hall, saw 51 shortlisted companies compete in various categories, from ambitious start-ups to some of the biggest firms in the region operating across Swansea, Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot and Pembrokeshire.
Our Managing Director, Ian Morgan, said: “We are very pleased with our success at the Swansea Bay Business Awards.
“I am delighted to see Morganstone recognised for the work the company is doing in the region, in creating quality affordable homes for local communities, and bringing valuable employment to the area as a Living Wage employer.
“The Morganstone story is one of steady and swift growth. The company started life with just two employees, working out of a garage. We now employ 107 people, most of these recruited locally, and we have a projected turnover of £24 million this year.
“However, I am always mindful that success and growth for any company impacts not just that company and its directors and employees but it tells a story about the economic stability of the wider the region. I think we have much to be proud of in this regard and there was a strong sense of optimism and enthusiasm about the future of the region at the awards ceremony.
“Events like these are great ways of meeting up with like-minded people and gauging just how much entrepreneurship is in the region and it is encouraging to hear just how much inventiveness, skill and drive is out there.”
Morganstone returned to the Fast Growth 50 list again in 2016 for the fourth consecutive year and we are ambitious for further growth in the year ahead.
