Morganstone - We Are In The F1 Team When It Comes To Site Safety

We are in the F1 team when it comes to site safety

We are celebrating some prestigious wins at the recent Building Safety Group (BSG) Annual Safety Awards, having walked away with two trophies and certificates from the ceremony, which went ahead at the glamorous Oxfordshire headquarters of the Williams Formula One Team.

Ben Aubrey saw the chequered flag when he won the Site Manager of the Year – Wales Region Award, thanks to his stellar work at our Imble Lane site, in Pembroke Dock.

Ben was nominated for the award by the BSG delegates themselves, seeing off competition from four other high-calibre nominees in the region.

As a company, Morganstone walked away with the Highly Commended Award in the Occupational Health category, having been shortlisted with four other respected companies working within the construction industry.

Our Managing Director, Ian Morgan, said: “Safety is paramount to us here at Morganstone and it is something we pay continuous and very close attention to, so I am pleased we have been recognised by the construction industry’s largest safety body for our impeccable safety standards.

“I would like to extend my thanks to all of the Morganstone teams whose diligence and attention to detail has helped us win a Highly Commended Award in Occupational Health – one of the specialist areas of construction we are particularly proud of because it does so much to support potentially vulnerable people to live as safely and as independently as possible.

“I would also like to say a particular thank you to Ben Aubrey for his work as Site Manager of the Year – his commitment to health and safety doesn’t go unnoticed by us and it is great to see it recognised by BSG advisors too.”

The company is enjoying a particularly successful period in recent months and  years, having just been shortlisted for two awards in the ‘housing industry Oscars’ – the Chartered Institute of Housing Cymru (CIH) Awards.

This is in recognition of Morganstone’s work on its flagship Cardiff Bay development, Hamadryad Court, and for its work on the Back Into The Community Campaign, which sees us engage with the neighbourhoods in which we work, helping to create cohesive communities and long-term relationships. The final results of those awards will be announced on November 18th.

Returning to the Fast Growth 50 list again in 2016 for the fourth consecutive year, Morganstone is one of the fastest growing construction companies in Wales.
