Morganstone Parc Newyd

Parc Newydd hosts new work placement

Meet Thomas Lewis, pictured above with Rebecca Thomas, Economic and Social Regeneration Manager, Tai Tarian and Hannah Breen, CSR & Training Manager at Morganstone.

Thomas is currently undertaking an 8-week work placement on our Parc Newydd project in partnership with Tai Tarian. Thomas has been shadowing all of the different trades on site, assisting with day-to-day tasks and learning new skills.

Thomas has really thrived during his placement; he has a positive attitude towards work and is enjoying the hands-on experience on site. It’s really important that we continue to entice young people into the world of construction and work experience placements are a great introduction to the industry.

Hannah Breen, CSR & Training Manager, Morganstone

Thomas was introduced to the team by our Client, Tai Tarian, through Neath Port Talbot Council.

“Thomas has been allowed to experience all aspects of the construction working environment and choose which trade suits him best. This has allowed him to develop his life skills, social skills and employability skills to his full potential, whilst being supported 100% by Morganstone employees”

Rychard Dodson, Skills & Training, Neath Port Talbot Council

At Morganstone, we believe it’s really important for young people to get to know the reality behind the hard hats and machinery and experience first-hand the wide variety of roles and opportunities construction provides.

We are proud to offer unique work experience placements that give young people the chance to work alongside experienced professionals on exciting projects.
