On the 25th of August, Morganstone will be hosting a Family Fundraising Day and Charity Cricket Match with Ammanford Cricket Club with guest appearences from the Ospreys Rugby team. This will be Morganstone’s third event of its’ kind, with previous years raising thousands of pounds for Prostate Cymru. This years’ event will be fundraising for local Ammanford Charity – The Jac Lewis Foundation. The Charity provides local wellbeing services and professional wellbeing support to the Ammanford Community.
The day will run from midday until midnight, and will have a selection of stalls and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy, including: a funfair, bouncy castle, trampolines, a fairground ride, craft stall, family games, face painter, glitter tattooist and a special visit with the Fire Engine from Ammanford Fire Station. Throughout the day, there will also be a raffle taking place, with prizes including:
There will also be a children’s disco in the evening, followed by a DJ. For adults wishing to enjoy a couple of drinks to celebrate the Bank Holiday, we have a strawberry and prosecco stall and the cricket club bar will be open. We also have lots of food to enjoy, including a BBQ, soft scoop ice cream stall and sweet treats from the funfair.
The match itself will consist of a 20 overs game between a Ammanford Cricket Club and a mixed Morganstone/Ospreys team, with players including: Matthew Aubrey, Will Griffiths, Tiaan Thomas Wheeler, Hannor Dirksen, Harri Morgan, Dan Evans, Luke Price, Phil Jones and Callum Carson.
The Family Fun day will follow on from Ammanford Football club’s charity match for the Jac Lewis Foundation, taking place on the morning of the 25th of August at Ammanford Football Club.
