The exceptional quality and high standards delivered by local construction company Morganstone have been recognised at a construction industry awards covering the area of Carmarthenshire.
The company won the regional Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Award for Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development at the ceremony, held at Machynys Golf Club, Llanelli, on Friday March 6.
The award specifically related to its work at Maes Y Ffynnon, a partnership scheme with Pennant Homes (part of the Coastal Housing Group), situated in Gorslas, Carmarthenshire.
The LABC awards recognise and reward the most dedicated individuals and construction companies operating throughout the county borough. As a winner of the Carmarthenshire Awards, Morganstone will also be put forward to the South Wales LABC Awards, which will take place on April 17.
If it wins again, Morganstone will also be put forward for the LABC Grand Final Awards, which will take place in London, in the autumn.
Ian Morgan, Managing Director of Morganstone, said:
“We are really pleased to have won the LABC Regional award for Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development for Maes y Ffynon. We hopefully will be looking forward to the Grand Finals towards the end of the year.
“The site is part of a long-running relationship with Morganstone and Pennant Homes. The Maes Y Ffynnon development in Gorslas, Carmarthenshire, will see 53 new build quality homes provided for the South Wales’ housing market.”
Sandra Marsh, Sales Manager at Pennant Homes, said:
“We’re thrilled that Morganstone have won this award. The fact that we can now describe both of our current developments as award winning is a massive achievement for us and is testament to the excellent work that Morganstone continue to carry out.”
