The exceptional consideration and professionalism delivered by Welsh construction company Morganstone has been recognised at an industry awards covering the whole of the United Kingdom.
The company won a Silver Considerate Constructors Award at the 2016 National Site Awards, held at Plasterers’ Hall, London on Friday, April 29. The award means that the site staff have shown the highest levels of consideration towards the community in the surrounding area, its team and the environment.
The award specifically relates to its work on the Imble Lane site, a partnership scheme with Pembrokeshire Housing Association, situated in Pembroke Dock, West Wales.
Imble Lane will see 83 affordable homes introduced to the area over three phases. Staff from Morganstone have been heavily involved with the local primary school to discuss with children the dangers of playing on construction sites and potential careers within the construction industry.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme’s National Site Awards recognise sites and companies registered with the scheme that have gone the extra mile for considerate construction. The awards are attended by many construction industry professionals and are held all across the UK. From the sites nominated to receive an award, they will be presented with either a Bronze, Silver or Gold. One Gold Award winner is given the title of Most Considerate Site.
Ian Morgan, managing director of Morganstone, said:
“We are really pleased to have won the Silver Considerate Constructors Award for Imble Lane. Congratulations to the site manager Ben Aubrey along with the whole site team, on ensuring that excellent communication and understanding was provided to the surrounding area, local residents and to all of the contractors that worked on the project.”
