They may have hard hats, but local company Morganstone has shown it has a soft side too by signing up to support a charity golf tournament raising money for vulnerable people throughout Wales. The Llanelli-based construction company is the corporate sponsor of Gwalia Trust’s 2016 Pro-Am tournament, now in its 27th year.
The event is a key date on the PGA West calendar and draws talent from across the region. Professional golfers are paired up with amateur players in teams of 3 to play the course at Langland Bay Golf Club whilst enjoying the amazing scenery and lots of on-course hospitality.
Ian Morgan managing director of Morganstone said: “We are really excited to be corporate sponsors of the Gwalia Trust’s 2016 Pro-Am tournament and want to make this year an extra special occasion. One of core values as an organisation is support communities within Wales and we are delighted to support the Gwalia Trust that carries out amazing work to support vulnerable people in Wales.”
“We are incredibly grateful to Morganstone for supporting this year’s tournament”, said Tracey Healey Director of Gwalia Trust. “It is our principal fundraising event and crucial to the Trust’s ability to support some of the most vulnerable people in society.”
Limited spaces remain for this year’s tournament on Friday 24th June. To register a team call Gwalia Trust on 01792 488101 or visit www.gwaliatrust.org.uk
