Over 250 people attended our stunning charity ball on Saturday 22nd September as Morganstone celebrated its ten-year anniversary at the Vale Hotel Resort in Hensol. The celebratory event was attended by Morganstone employees, family members and our valued clients, partners and supply chain representatives. Tools and spreadsheets were swapped for savvy suits and glamorous gowns on a night when great fun was had by all.
The evening kicked off with a welcome from the renowned radio presenter and host for the evening, Kevin Johns, who led a humorous game of ‘Heads and Tails’ between the whole room that was soon followed by a superb three course meal. The lively start was followed by a very personal and passionate reflection on the ‘Morganstone journey’, by the company’s founder and managing director, Ian Morgan. Sharing his thoughts on, if not the secrets behind, one of South Wales’ greatest success stories in recent times, Ian commented,
“Little could I have imagined when I started the business up in my garage ten years ago, what the company would achieve in the next decade. I am incredibly proud of what we have done, and the reputation we have built, and I would like to thank everyone working for or with Morganstone for how they have supported us and contributed to our success.”
The mood became even more ‘relaxed’ as the night went on, and by the time the magnificent Madassa Soul Band started up, everyone was ready to boogie, with some great shapes being thrown on the dance floor. This had been preceded by a charity raffle that helped contribute towards an incredible estimated £11,000 for charity over the course of the night.
With twelve o’clock quickly approaching, people were asked to be seated for a toast to celebrate Morganstone’s anniversary, as the company officially ‘turned ten’ on the stroke of midnight. Cheers and party poppers filled the air, and champagne filled the glasses, albeit fleetingly!
Then it was back to the dance floor, and the rest, as they say, is history!
Morganstone would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported its birthday celebration and made it such a great evening, and say ‘Here’s to another ten years of constructing the future!’. Pictures and video of the evening to follow.
