Morganstone - Hannah Breen

Meet our new CSR & Training Manager

Hannah Breen

CSR & Training Manager

I’m really excited to be joining the team and continuing to build on the legacy Morganstone have developed in the community

Past experience:

I joined Dawnus Construction straight out of university and stayed with them for six years, starting in Quality and then moving in to an Environment and Sustainability role. I then moved to Centregreat Rail, again in a Sustainability capacity whilst also taking a lead on community benefits and CSR.

What does your role involve?

My role is spilt into three key areas of Corporate Social Responsibility:

  1. Community Engagement – working with our clients and the project teams to ensure all of our projects leave a lasting positive legacy in the community and supporting communities in Wales to thrive.
  2. Training – supporting and developing our employees to ensure everyone has the skills to reach their full potential and working education, training and industry bodies to bridge the skills gap in the industry.
  3. Environmental Sustainability – focusing on strategies for carbon reduction, resource efficient, protecting biodiversity and ethical sourcing.

What do you like most about your role?

I love that each day is different and being given the opportunity to add real value to people and the local community. As a young girl, I never imagined I’d be working in construction so now I’m really passionate about promoting women in construction and all the different careers available in this industry.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I was born and brought up in Swansea and now live in Neath with my husband. I love travelling and exploring new cultures, hiking and baking. I guess the most interesting thing about me is that I have 9 brothers and sisters – that usually surprises people.
