Demolition and Redevelopment of Retail Units

This project is underway to transform existing retail units and unoccupied upper floors into a new residential development. This project will create 33 modern apartments, including a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units. With the exterior incorporating a variety of finishes to give the development a fresh modern feel.

Additional features include a new bike store, bin store, and a mechanical and electrical plant room. The completed development will provide much-needed affordable housing for Caredig Housing Association, whom we are partnering with on this development.

 

 

Project Progess - 1st October, 2024

“254-260 oxford street is a refurbishment from old flats, retail units and storage space in the centre of Swansea, it will become 33 social housing flats for client Caredig, and 6 refurbished retail units at street level on the front for our other client Kartay. Having just completed 8 months of demolition and steelwork, we are now moving onto superstructures stage having nearly finished Phase 1 on our timber frame extension creating a 3rd floor on the property and cutting in corridor openings and windows. We will be aiming to be fully watertight before Christmas, to begin internals and cladding works in the new year, to put us on track to finish the project by August 2025.” Euan Edwards, Site Manager Morganstone.
