Building the Future of British Heating at Parc Eirin

Morganstone were proud to have Sir Chris Bryant MP visit our Parc Eirin development in Tonyrefail today, providing a first-hand look at how Parc Eirin is delivering the future of British heating. As the lead contractor on this live and bustling site, our team is currently managing the “nuts and bolts” of a UK first: an investor-funded shared ground loop heat network. This project represents a major shift in how the industry approach utility infrastructure, moving away from traditional gas boilers and toward a cleaner, more sustainable way to keep homes warm.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the technical progress being made on the ground. With borehole drilling now complete and trenching well underway, we are currently delivering the vital underground engineering for this second phase. By working alongside our partners at Tirion Homes, Octopus Energy Generation, and Kensa, we are proving that innovative funding models can unlock the serious investment needed to make green technology a standard feature of modern housing.

Once this phase is finished, a total of 225 homes across the development will run on clean, affordable heat. It was a pleasure to walk Sir Chris through the construction process and see the discussions being held with those in attendance on how these systems offer the kind of predictable, long-term stability that both residents and investors are looking for. As the Minister noted during his visit, real change comes from “digging in and getting things built,” and at Morganstone, we are honoured to be the boots on the ground making that vision a reality for the community.
