Carmarthenshire Housing Standards Framework

The Morganstone team have formed a fundamental part of Carmarthenshire County Council’s Housing Standards Framework. This four year project works to upgrade housing stock throughout the area to meet and exceed the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS).

The framework includes the renewal of kitchens and bathrooms across Carmarthenshire’s housing stock, plus any required works to upgrade the property’s mechanical and electrical condition. The framework will also see a series of external improvements, including rendering and decoration.

Our involvement in the Carmarthenshire Housing Standards Framework has enabled us to employ our direct workforce for a longer term. This employment includes direct apprentices, some of which have been recruited via CCTAL and Cyfle Building Skills’ Shared Apprentice Scheme. Thanks to this long-term contract we have recruited 16 new staff members from the local area.
