We are delighted to have been shortlisted for two awards from the leading professional body for housing in Wales, the Chartered Institute of Housing Cymru .
The CIH awards are the Oscars of the housing industry and we are very pleased to have been recognised, both for being a community-focused contractor and for our flagship Cardiff Bay development, Hamadryad Court.
Our Managing Director, Ian Morgan, says: “We are very pleased to be shortlisted for this year’s CIH Cymru Awards, particularly in these two categories.
“We pride ourselves on the work we do within our local communities to engage and safeguard the people who live near Morganstone developments, and we do everything we can to be good neighbours while we are there.
“Beyond this, we also work hard to foster and create well-oiled neighbourhoods and communities which thrive long after we have left. So we are absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for our Back Into the Community Campaign.
“Equally, we are proud to be shortlisted for our work on Hamadryad Court in Cardiff Bay, which we developed in partnership with Cardiff Community Housing Association.
“I look forward to hearing the final results on November 18th and I would like to say thank you to everyone across the Morganstone teams for helping to put us on the CIH Cymru shortlist.”
Morganstone is already an award-winning construction company, having won a Silver Considerate Constructors Award at the 2016 National Site Awards.
That award shone a light on Morganstone’s site staff for showing the highest levels of consideration towards the community, our team and the environment, while working at the Imble Lane site.
We also netted a Highly Commended award at the South Wales Regional Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Awards and won the Best Large Volume New Housing Development and a Highly Commended award at the Neath Port Talbot Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Awards, in 2016 for our Old Furnace and Parc y Dderwen developments.
