Morganstone - Staff Presentation 2018

Morganstone reflects on the company’s growth and achievements

Morganstone recently held a staff seminar at the Dragon Hotel, reflecting on the company’s achievements over the past six months, including awards and accolades, success of projects, and employee growth. We are proud to hold the prestigious accolade of being one of Wales’ Fast Growth 50 companies for the sixth consecutive year.

Morganstone boasts a wealth of experienced employees, however we value the importance of diversifying our workforce and providing new opportunities for the younger generation through the means of apprenticeships and graduate placements. We are extremely committed to working closely within our local communities and recruiting local talent.

We are thrilled to support and celebrate the success of four of our employees who were recently awarded with their Bachelor’s degrees. We would like to extend our Congratulations to:

Taylor Morgan – Bachelor of Law

Mael Spencer – Bachelor of Construction Management

Sam Martin – Bachelor of Construction Management

Tomas Lewis-Edwards – Bachelor of Construction Management

We would also like to Congratulate Kelvin Rees, who since finishing his Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying whilst working at Morganstone, has also been supported by the company to undertake his Masters of Science in Construction Law and Practice.

The seminar was also an opportunity to commend our Site Managers for their outstanding effort with three of them achieving NHBC Pride in the Job awards. We would like to extend our Congratulations to:

Ken Evans – Schooner Wharf, Cardiff – for Cardiff Community Housing Association

Paul Haden – Priory Garden, Ewenny – for Westacres

Ben Aubrey – Quayside, SA1, Swansea – for Pennant Homes/Coastal Housing Association

Our team is continuing to expand. The event provided the opportunity for new starters to familiarise themselves with the rest of the team and to share the company’s vision for growth with our exciting future projects both with Morganstone and Westacres. All employees were updated about the opportunities for career progression within the company, including training and development, upskilling and the option of diversifying into new roles.

After the seminar, staff were invited along to a dinner at La Braseria to relax, unwind and continue the celebrations through into the evening.
